| Introduction | Born 1977 in Malaysia, Suddin Lappo is exposed to formal education of Fine Arts via UiTM. Recently, 2009 mark his debut solo, with an exhibition at PACE Gallery, entitled “Kepingin”. Suddin Lappo is a known name in the field of Malaysian contempary artists, and is very consistent in his efforts of exhibition - with at least 3 exhibitions per year, with recent years reaching more than 5 exhibitions per year. He had been enganging actively local art scene as early as 1997, with group exhibitions as de jour of his early years. Suddin Lappo’s most recent international outings were in Copenhagen, Denmark, in an exhibition entitled “Un-Cut: Malaysian Painting” in 2009. His works are also well represented in the Far East, at Seoul Museum of Art’s “The 70th Annual Exhibition of MOKWOOHOE” in 2008. He also participated in 2008 Art Triangle exhibition, well known for ints inclusion of contemporary South East Asian Art. It is also worth noted that Suddin Lappo is very much enganged in local performance art scenes throughout Selangor. |
