About me

Occupation Compost Maven
Location Vermont
Introduction I'm from a small town in Vermont where I learned community engagement and old fashioned resourcefulness at an early age. I was close to my grandmother who held common sense so much higher than any fancy degree I ever came home with. Nevertheless I did get a masters degree in botanical science. But at heart I'm actually an abstract artist and gardener who's passionate about compost! Most recently in my career I ran a large-scale commercial compost facility in Burlington, Vermont. Now I've started Waste Free Living, Inc., a socially responsible web-based business that sells earth-friendly products. WFL was created to make it easier for folks to live more sustainably. This website gives you two choices--do the same things but do it "greener", or do things differently, maybe the old fashioned way--like composting and growing/preserving food. And in my spare time I'm taking a stained glass class, training for a triathlon, and trying to ski as much as possible!
