Introduction Rebecca A. Fannin is a CNBC correspondent, a prize-winning author and media entrepreneur. Rebecca leads Silicon Dragon Ventures, a news, events and membership platform. A Forbes columnist for 10 years, her articles also have been published in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Wired, Techonomy, Inc., and Red Herring, where she was international news editor. She has contributed to several thought leadership papers. Her latest book, Tech Titans of China, was published by Hachette’s Nicholas Brealey and received a Silver Medal for best international business book of 2020. Rebecca’s first book, Silicon Dragon: How China is Winning the Tech Race (McGraw-Hill 2008), profiled Jack Ma of Alibaba and Robin Li of Baidu. Her second book, Startup Asia (Wiley 2011), explored how India is the next up and comer, which again predicted a leading edge trend.
