About me

OccupationCoffee Snob/ Artist
LocationCambridge, Ma, United States
IntroductionI was born and raised in Massachusetts. I came out to my family at age 13 and knew I was a big queer way before then. I am truly fortunate to have a really supportive family who love me despite all the crazy things I do. I moved to Cambridge, just in time for the first gay couples to receive their marriage licenses on May 17, 2004. I was very involved in the gay marriage movement during this time. This led to me working with MassEquality as a canvaser in the summers to come. My first coffee shop gig at the Peet's Coffee and Tea in Harvard Sq. From there I moved over to the Diesel Cafe. The brightly colored walls and funky decor was a perfect fit for me from the start. After three years at Diesel, I had the privilege to help open/train a new cafe called Bloc 11 Cafe. Bloc is quite a treasure with its cozy fireplace in the winter and the beautiful courtyard with outdoor seating in the warmer months. I have traveled across this country and I have yet to find a cafe that can match us on our quality, presentation, or community. I am excited to return after this project.
