About me

InterestsI thoroughly enjoy exploring texts for their potential meaning and relevance to our lives today. I have explored Dante's, "Divine Comedy," and "Perceval," by Chretien De Troyes. My ultimate joy and passion is Goethe's Fairy Tale, "The Green Snake and The Beautiful Lily." I am particularly intrigued about why it came to be written and how it was written. I am privileged to have a whole network of friends, colleagues, and individuals from exploratory workshops on the Tale I have led around the world. They take an exceptional interest and support me in my love and passion of enabling the value of the Tale to be experienced. I was introduced to this Work by my speech tutor Ulrike Brockman, from Kent in England. She chose it for her and I to work with for the art of speech formation. This was because of the imaginative words the text contains. I am indebted to her support during the last twenty five years. The greatest joy has been designing, developing and using a range of artistic methods for use in the workshops enabling individuals experience being the Characters in the story. Forming their predominant gesture in different scenes and practising speaking what the Characters have to say. I provide and encourage use of simple props, like a Lamp! for The Man with the Lamp, a white veil for the Beautiful Lily. It all adds to discovery in each one of us, often very different, in a manner which is totally concordant with Goethe's wish for people to discover for themselves what the Tale can bring. Thank you for visiting the site. Please ask if there is any particular aspect you wish to mutually explore.
