| Introduction | We have the honor to have been sent to Crimea directly by the Lubavitcher Rebbe 14 years ago. Before that we were Merkos shluchim in Florida, Alabama, and Michigan. We are proud parents of k"ah 12 children, and grandparents of k"ah "chai" adorable grandchildren. And several "unofficially adopted" children. I (Leah) am usually here in Crimea, manning the fort (sometimes almost literally,) running the school, shul, camps, and everything else; while Itchie, unfortunately, frequently needs to be away, trying to raise enough money to keep our heads above water. Crimea IS a peninsula, totally surrounded by water, you know. Unfortunately, just like in Israel, there are those who would be all too happy to throw us into the sea to drown, so it isn't easy going. But we have amazing blessings from the Rebbe, and I"YH we will overcome all odds! |

You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?
So your money doesn't fly out the window! . . . Ukrainian superstition
