| Introduction | I am a recently retired chemical engineer, who had advanced prostate cancer diagnosed about 8 years ago. But this blog will hopefully not be about cancer or my experience of it. It will mostly be about my favourite distraction, walking the downs, forests and fells of England, my adopted country and one of the most magnificent walking places in the world. Of course the blog focuses mainly on my attempt to walk from Land's End to John O'Groats. If, along the way, I have the time to think through some of my transitions, I will probably post the resultant ramblings here, more for my own record than for any other reason... |
