Introduction	I've lived in New York City ever since my family emigrated to the States back in 1993. In 2006 I received my B.A. in English from Queens College, and in September of that year I entered the English Ph.D. program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Also, that same year I began teaching in LaGuardia CC, which has and continues to be a very rewarding experience. My interests include reading(some of my favorite authors are Martha Gellhorn, Eudora Welty, Zadie Smith, Toni Morrison, Ernest Hemingway)visual culture, travel , running and hiking.
