| Introduction | I am Julie Gustafson and I am Mayor Pro Tem of Nederland, Colorado. I ran to serve as a Trustee in April 2016 and my term ends in 2020. I have lived in Nederland since 2005, am married and have two daughters attending Nederland Schools. My education and most of my career has focused on protecting natural resources, though in recent years I have taken work that allows me to prioritize time with my family. I worked for nearly ten years as the National Wildlife Federation, Regional Education Manager. In this position, I had the opportunity to work on state and federal policy related to connecting kids and families to nature. I worked with diverse interest groups successfully advancing work toward our common goals. I also spent two years working as the Campus Supervisor at Nederland Middle Senior High School. This opportunity introduced me to many of the amazing young Nedheads in our community, and gave me a glimpse of what to expect as a parent of a middle schooler. As a Trustee, I enjoy collaborating with the community and town staff, to help Nederland maintain its unique identity as we plan for and adjust to a growing Colorado.
