| Introduction | I am a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 14 years. Right after getting married we immediately started a family. In January 1996 we had our first son Austin. Only 22 months later during September 1997 we had our second son Gage. I had pregnancy complications with Gage, and because of them I had to have an emergency c-section. At this time, I decided to go ahead and have my tubes "tied" while I was going into surgery anyway. A few years later, I began thinking about having more children. I was devastated that the option of having more children was one I no longer had. I later heard from a family friend about a surgeon in Chapel Hill, NC that performs tubal reversal surgery. So my husband & I began looking into it and weighing our options. This blog is about our journey, the path we took, and where we are now. |
