| Introduction | I'm 47 years old and have been a passionate roadie for four years, logging roughly 23,500 miles during that time. On October 8, 2009, I underwent surgery to repair my right external iliac artery, which had been diagnosed as “dissected.” I’ve created this site to serve as a resource for cyclists and other endurance athletes wishing to know more about vascular injuries that can occur from the repetitive motion inherent to their sport, notably the conditions of dissection and endofibrosis of the external iliac artery. |
