Introduction	As a member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort, Deborah Henson-Moody advocates for the development of volunteer opportunities worldwide. Within her community, she volunteers to provide care for animals at a local shelter. Deborah Henson-Moody also contributes to such organizations as Goodwill Industries International, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the American Cancer Society. Deborah Henson-Moody previously worked for more than a decade as a maid for a cleaning services company in California. She cleaned interior spaces ranging from restrooms to elevators, vacuumed and shampooed carpeted areas and upholstered furniture, and emptied waste receptacles. In addition to performing cleaning duties, she supervised children and assisted individuals of advanced age with daily living activities. In charge of stocking clients’ kitchens, she placed orders for groceries and supplies, as well as logged inventory expenses.
