Introduction	Hi, thank you for taking a look at my blog. My Name is Amber and my husband and I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountain area of Southwest Virginia. We've been married for almost 20 years and have two great kids. We've been homeschooling for almost a year now although I've had a keen interest in public verses alternative forms of education for many years. I find the history of public education in the United States interesting and am particularly interested in the impact of public education on national policy,state governments and individual families. I currently work as a online facilitator for a brain injury survivor group. I have a Masters degree in Counselor Education and spent many years working with people with disabilities. My blog, Home Grown,sprang out of my desire to help and encourage people to make home and family their first priority.
