| Introduction | I'm a second-generation military brat, born and raised in the Army. I spent my childhood on the move - until high school we never had the same address for three full years. I kept the trend going after I enlisted in 1996, until I finally set a record in Seattle, Washington with four years. Thirty-three years now I’ve been bouncing around the world, and I don’t plan on stopping yet. I’m something of a geek dilettante; a geek-of-all-trades, if you will. I dabble in a lot of the traditional geek disciplines – tech (that’s mostly for work, though), sci-fi, fantasy, tabletop and video role-playing games, etc. – but I don’t have much depth of field in any one area. I suppose if I had to classify myself, I’d go with anime fan (I’m not entirely comfy with the “otaku” label, maybe I’ll go into that later). I don’t intend to make either politics or religion the focus of this blog, but for anyone who cares I’m a Christian and a political conservative with libertarian leanings. That’s all there is to say about that for now. |
