| Introduction | After graduating from Stellenbosch University, I worked for two years teaching, lecturing and counselling at tertiary institutions in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Now I've uprooted and come to South Korea, where I teach English at a Hagwon. I'm a former psych. student and I feel really comfortable with crazy people. I love writing creative fiction. I'm an African with Scottish/Dutch ancestry and I try to remember (but often forget) Desiderata: "With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." The fuzzy future has recently become a little clearer: In February I will finish my contract in Korea and go back to my hometown, East London, where I will start an English/Life Orientation teacher job at George Randal High School. God works in mysterious ways. |
