About me

Gender Female
Occupation author, speaker, counselor
Location Golden, Colorado, United States
Introduction I am a wife, friend, counselor, speaker and author of The Allure of Hope (Navpress, 2000) and Listening to Love (Waterbrook, 2004). And as anyone who writes or teaches anything, I've been asked to live my words. I've been asked to live with open heart and abandoned desire, waiting for fulfillment and learning to love in the meantime. My greatest pleasure is being pursued and loved by a wild and passionate God, through His son Jesus Christ. Ask me about it, sometime. The face of True Christianity is not angry, positioned and arrogant - but grieved, in awe, intelligently humorous, fierce and loving.
Interests I am happiest when my hands are in the soil, and happier still at harvest time. It's good when I can be on a mountain, hiking or skiing. I love being in, cultivating, fighting for and enjoying my marriage. And I love fighting for the marriages of others. I love hanging out with words, and I both love and lament their power. The people I most respect are those who cultivate a rich inner life and an honest outer life, lives of service. I'm grateful to be surrounded by such folks.
