| Introduction | Reformed idiot, rebellious skinhead teenager. I've never gone to college, just did a secretarial certificate and that's gotten me into call centres, technical support (though I still have trouble with the 2nd function on calculators) business unions, and running a small office. When I was younger I thought I was destined to be famous in one way or another, and so spent most of my adolescent years trying to bring as much attention to myself as possible & drinking lots of cider with new age hippies. After getting pregnant at 19 it gave me perspective, otherwise I would've ended up a welly-wearing new age traveller with dread locks, roaming around with half starved dogs on dole day, rolling up self-made cigarettes and speaking emphatically about free-living, pool births & eating raw cloves of garlic to maintain my health. Present-day, impoverished, proud working, mother (with normal but prematurely greying hair). When I grow up I would like to write, but I have a sneaking suspicion that either my work stinks or my muse farts! Lastly, we were moving to the U.S. mid '07 to Ohio near my in laws, life is proving too expensive in Ireland. |
