IntroductionAndrés currently resides in Northampton, Massachusetts, with his wife and musical collaborator, Asia Mei, and children, Eden and Liam. The son of musicians, he was named after the classical guitarist, Andrés Segovia. Andrés has earned degrees from the Berklee College of Music, Columbia University, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has learned Jewish texts at Yeshivat Hadar, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate and instructor in the program of Comparative Literature at UMass-Amherst, and an adjunct professor of philosophy at several other colleges in Western Massachusetts. He makes his living as a musician, writer, and educator. His début album INK & SOUND was named one of Boston's top five by Metronome Magazine in 2007 and his acoustic EP, CITYSCAPES & APPARITIONS was released digitally in January of 2013 (available for free downloads at www.andreswilsonmusic.bandcamp.com) His poetry, short fiction, and articles have appeared widely in print and on the web. Andrés considers himself culturally international but ideologically American, and loves the woods, bicycles, espresso, yoga, comparative religion, New England, and the guitar. www.andreswilson.com
