| Introduction | I love people- especially those that don't take themselves too seriously and have a great sense for the absurdities in life. I love: a great fire, a lazy day, long walks, a great sunset, twilight, Thai food with loads of lime, candlelit rooms, people who love others relentlessly and recklessly, and small children bundled up so heavily on a snowy day that they can barely stand up to build that perfect snowman they have been dreaming about all winter long. I hate: arrogance, pride, superficiality, small talk, death, cancer, sickness, excessive immodesty, humidity, and those who enjoy mocking others for their lack of knowledge or understanding. I am a hopeless romantic, shameless about love and passion but crippled by entirely too much independence, rationality, and maybe even cynicism (hence, hopeless). Family is my heartbeat. |
| Interests | My academic interests are in the New Testament, both its history and transmission as well as how people have used it and interpreted over the centuries. Otherwise, I love art, old cars, architecture, old historical churches, French alley-ways full of people carrying fresh bread, great coffee, undiscovered coffee shops, and live piano. My practical interests are simply having great friends to share and do life with and living a life that has meaning at the end of the day. |
