Introduction | Lorraine Alexander, interior design professional, has over 20 years in the field of design and color. She is committed to green, healthy homes and sustainable design and building practices. As an interior designer, she specializes in residential remodeling and new construction. Lorraine is Vice Chair (2011-2012) for the US Green Building Council's "Pacific Region". For the Council's Redwood Empire Chapter she serves as Regional Representative (2011-2012) and Chairman of the Board (2012). Ms. Alexander serves the Santa Rosa Junior College Advisory Committee for the Interior Design Program. She participates in the Redwood Empire Built Environment Collaborative Action Committee, which encourages communication among organizations concerned with the design and construction of the built environment through sharing of resources and community education. In 2009 she launched the Green Building Committee for RERA, serving as Chair and Board Member for 2009 and 2010. She is certified in Green Building with Somoma State University, which received the US Green Building Council's Award in Excellence for Education. Lorraine works and resides in Northern California and British Columbia. |
