Introduction	The Plattsburgh State softball program was added as a varsity sport in 1999. Since that time, the Cardinals have amassed numerous individual and team honors. This includes two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances (including a trip to the final four), two Northeast Regional appearances, one SUNYAC Tournament Championship, 11 SUNYAC Tournament appearances, two NFCA All-Americans, 27 NFCA All-Region players and 27 NFCA Academic All-Americans. Entering the 2011 season, the program holds an all-time record of 288-198-1 for a winning percentage of .591.
