| Introduction | Being raised on a farm, my love of nature was awakened early. I recall gazing at the stars while hearing the frogs croak. My name is lucy matthews. The first half of my life kept me busy teaching; and the second half led me volunteering for 15 years in a large hospital as Eucharistic Minister ( a form of pastoral care). How was I led there?...My brush with death in 1997 due to illness gave me compassion for the sick and the need to serve them. While there, Spirit led me to hundreds of books on the spiritual life which made me a much more universal person. Because of health reasons, and much to my chagrin, I had to quit at the hospital. This blog hopefully will allow a spiritual dialogue and "God moments" to continue to happen. Through the prompting of a friend, again the Spirit led me to start a blog sharing many topics with the public. I promise to dialogue with you as often as possible asking the Spirit to guide our conversations. I am grateful for all the blessings in my life, including the crosses, and right now the daily support from my kind husband. Hope this blog gives you a new love for nature. Namaste...lucy m |
