Introduction	We found out at 17 weeks gestation that Oakley had a left sided Congenital Diaphramatic Hernia also refered to as CDH.We made the decision to deliver at Dekalb Medical Center near Atlanta. Dekalb was less than a mile from Childrens Health Care at Egleston. From what we have found out Egleston has the 2nd highest rated NICU in the South East. Oakley's fight started at 36 weeks when I developed preclampcia and would have to be enduced early. after 13 hours of labor Oakley made her grand entrance into the world at 5lbs 2oz and only 17 inches long. She would be a fighter, staying stable she was able to have her repair surgery at 4 days old. Stomach and intestines were up, the hole was 8 mm. The surgeons were able to close the hole with Oakley's muscle and tissue. With God holding her through each day Oakley came home with mom in only 29 days, having no complications. Her brothers saw her for the first time on Friday March 13,2009.
