| Introduction | Born and raised in Hawaii, I come from a serious food-loving culture where every get together is just an excuse to have a feast. I am the first to admit that my cooking is amateur at best, but nothing makes me happier than stumbling on a perfect recipe and hearing my dining companion's contented sighs as they scrape their plates clean. Measurements and cooking rules don't interest me, I prefer to mix and test like a mad scientist- often ending up with little more than a messy kitchen piled high with dirty dishes. I have recently bid adieu to my fully stocked, 200 sq ft kitchen in Seattle to hole up for a few months in an extended stay hotel in Madison, WI with a decidedly smaller kitchen. Armed with only a two burner electric stove, a toaster-convection oven and a few pots and pans, follow me as I attempt to concoct culinary masterpieces- or at the very least put dinner on the table every night for my very hungry boyfriend. |
