| Introduction | I once read that you are a "writer" even if the only thing you write is a shopping list. I like to write, and I have done a fair amount over the years that was a little more than the occasional shopping list. When I accomplished my goal of writing a family newsletter for a whole decade, I missed having a forum to share thoughts, feelings, quotes, insights, snippets about my life, and other quirkly little tidbits I ran across from time to time. So, I decided to begin writing a Blog. It's not going to be a huge thing, nothing regular but someplace I can write what's on my mind. I still get homesick for my children now and then, even though they are grown up and gone. I'm hoping they think of me occasionally and might enjoy some more tiny glimpses into what I think and what's on my mind. |

| Favorite Movies | I could do titles, but I have done that before. I just want to see a movie that portrays real people faced with real challenges which they grappel with and maybe even overcome by the end of the movie. I don't necessarily have to have a happy ending. Nice, but not necessary if a sad one completes the story. |
| Favorite Music | I'm getting pretty choosy about this category. I'm not really interested in anything current, but every now and then I listen to Do-wop or the oldies in my car. Nothing on the radio anymore. Classical is still my "go-to" the occasional times I feel a need to fill the solitude of my car with music and not General Conference CDs. |
| Favorite Books | Jane Eyre and The Scarlett Letter still top the list, though I have read dozens and dozens of very satisfying books over my lifetime. I used to keep a notebook. Not anymore. I just read them and pass the book on to someone else. |
Will I be able to retire?
