Introduction	I am excited to be actively involved in educating my community about the dangers of using chemicals in our homes. Did you know that women who work at home have a 54% higher death rate from cancer than women who work outside of the home? Did you know that childhood asthma affects more than 4.8 million children under the age of 18 nationwide and that doctors now know that irritation of the lungs by chemicals can trigger asthma attacks? The National Cancer Institute states that many of the 2200 chemicals that are probable carcinogens can be found in many of the cleaners and personal care products you buy at the grocery store. I could go on and on! After spending much time researching the subject of how chemicals affect our health, particularly that of children, I am more determined than ever to help families reduce the use of chemicals in their homes. So join me on a journey of researching ways to live healthier and protect our precious families!
