| Introduction | Reading fiction is my escape hatch from a world that feels overwhelming at times. I open that trap door and instantly get relief from whatever political situation is weighing me down at the moment. I feel all the feelings and sometimes the world is too much with me. So I jump down into a book, usually fiction. You'll see my favorite novels have deep compelling plots and interesting characters. I enjoy fantasy but mostly read books based in reality and present times. The occasional non-fiction book inspires me to do more to improve the world and a good memoir captures me with its honesty.
