Well, one time I had very irresponsibly gotten my tongue pierced on my Mom's birthday, using all of my money (I was 18) and so I gave blood to sell my plasma and used that money to get her a gift. Later that evening, I had a bandage on my arm and was trying to hide my new piercing while we were at a restaurant. I was crying inside.
