Occupation | theatre seat finder; customer service whore |
Location | United States |
Introduction | Life, believe, is not a dream -- So dark as sages say; -- Oft a little morning rain -- Fortells a pleasant day. (Charlotte Bronte, "Life") |
Interests | knitting, exercising, walking, traveling, reading old books, playing poker, watching british t.v. shows, cute British actors, cute British actresses, facebook, myspace, twitter... |
Favorite Movies | Breakfast at Tiffany's; Gone with the Wind; anything with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire despite the implausible story lines; Bringing up Baby despite Katharine Hepburn's screechy voice; Casablanca, Sound of Music, even with Julie Andrews short hair; and, one for the modern folk -- Eurotrip. Best night spent in London '06 was getting chinese with friends after day spent in Canterbury and hanging out on the sofas in the communal area watching this movie. Will never forget it. Not to be outdone by watching When Harry Met Sally by myself while very ill with double ear infections; ogling Ralph Fiennes in The English Patient with my roommate Kristen (yeah, we were the only ones watching the movie); and coming home from the theatre to find several boys and one girl watching Showgirls, unedited. (Of course I joined them). |
Favorite Music | Franz Fedinand; Muse; Lily Allen; Celine Dion (oh yes); most musicals; The Neil Cowley Trio (London based jazz trio); soundtracks by John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newman and Gabriel Yared; Madeleine Peyroux |
Favorite Books | Jane Eyre & Villette -- Charlotte Bronte; Mansfield Park & Emma -- Jane Austen; David Copperfield & Bleak House -- Dickens; The Camomile Lawn -- Mary Wesley; Mrs. Dalloway -- Virginia Woolf. And many more... |
If there's no I in team, why is there meat?
This is perhaps the most stupid question I have ever been asked. And I work in customer service.
