Introduction	I am an intervention specialist for students with multiple disabilities (Grades K-3). Most of my day is spent teaching within the special education classroom, but I also assist students who attend classes with their peers. In the past 12 years of teaching, I have worked with students of ALL abilities. I have a degree in general and special education. Over the past 10 years, I have taken numerous classes in assistive technology and attended both national and local conferences on special education and technology. I was thrilled to gain an interactive whiteboard (SMARTBOARD) for my classroom and I was ecstatic when I was asked to be a part of an iPad research project through the school district. I am continually amazed on how well the students are able to manipulate and understand the technology presented to them. I am continually learning about the use of iOS devices in the classroom. I am also a wife (who is converting her hubby into a 'techie', we now own an iPad 2)and mother of 2 wonderful children (ages 4 and 6).
