Introduction I am an American, raised in a middle-class family. I was sent to a private school, where I learned to think for myself, and to seek the truth within my own heart. I studied religion in college, and eventually earned a Master's Degree in Humanities. In 1993, I converted from Protestant Christianity to Reform Judaism. It was not a perfect fit. I have continued to seek for God through the world's sacred traditions ever since. Through the years, I have tried to build my own ideas and discoveries into a semi-consistent pattern, which I hope may serve to bring me ever closer to my Lord. Of course, I don't have all the answers, and much of what I think I know is purely personal speculation and harmonization of others' ideas. I have a full respect for all of the true prophets of God, may peace and glory abide with them for eternity. Please, don't be offended when I borrow bits that I find to be profound. I have a beautiful Catholic wife from the Philippines, and one son who now serves in the Army National Guard. This blog is my chosen work in response to the vocation I have always felt was leading me to be different. I hope you may find some value in it.
