| Introduction | I began in the area of sustainable land management in the early 80's and moved to green business issues in the 90's. In 1993 I founded the NZ Environmental Business Network which grew under my management to represent 8 regional 'green' business networks and over 500 member companies ranging in size from sole traders to corporate. Through my environmental consultancy Sustainable Solutions, I wrote environmental management programmes & strategies for households, farms, companies, tertiary institutes, cities councils and even the New Zealand nation. Related activities inc: Developed a 24 Hectare lifestyle block as an Organic Permaculture Unit. Established E.C.H.O a disability workscheme focused on recycling. Initiated NZ's first public internet terminal at Auckland City Library in 1993 (with PlaNet). Political candidate for the pro-business Progressive Greens & The Green Party. Co-organiser of Environmental Building Field Days. TVNZ Presenter on 'Maggie's Garden Show' focused on Organics. I live in Wanganui with my wife and kids for whom I look to the future with hope, in Aotearoa our land of hope. I am involved with a variety of community related projects for sustainability. |
