| Introduction | Southern Cross Brewing Company will be located within the Birmingham, AL Metro Area. We will be a distribution brewery. Most of our beer will be shipped to a distributor for sale in bars, restaurants and retail stores and a small portion of the beer will be available for sale at an on-site tap room. We hope to be open by the summer of 2014. Southern Cross will concentrate on “session beers”. A “session beer” is one that has an ABV (alcohol by volume) of 5.1% or less. The concept is that you can drink a couple of beers at one sitting (session) and not be intoxicated. There will be a few special beers that come out every year that are high gravity (6% and above). |
