| Introduction | When Guy Debord finally decided to close the doors on Situationist International after 18 years of radical candle burning, a mass of avant-guard clerics approached him with an urgent question. What would become of the sphere of knowledge built by the situationists? After much contemplation and deliberation, colloquiums and symposiums, it was decided that the collective "detritus of tracts, manifestos, and works of art that the situationists left behind" would be concentrated into the essence of a single human being. That emergent spark of life was given to my parents and early in 1972 I was born. My areas of interest with regard to research in Landscape Architecture and Photography focus on sprawling derelict industrial infrastructures to freakish ecosystems to the most lavish and exquisite leisure landscapes. Primarily, my research looks at the intersection of these three systems equalized and mitigated by each other in varying typological conditions. |
