Introduction	Lisa is from Saginaw, Michigan and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts & Sciences from Michigan State University. She met Alan at MSU where he dual majored in Computer Engineering and Math. They were married in 1994 and Alan was offered a full time job in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have lived here ever since. Lisa had a brief career as a Computer Software Instructor and worked until the arrival of their first son, Alexander in 1998. Lisa has been a stay at home mom since his birth. Alan and Lisa had three more boys: Logan in 2000; Evan in 2003; and, more recently Braden in 2008. Both Alexander and Braden were born with special needs. Alexander has a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. Braden was diagnosed before birth during a routine ultrasound with severe hydrocephalus. On March 11, 2011 Braden's shunt suddenly and unexpectedly quit working. Despite making it through surgery, he never regained consciousness and was taken from life support four days later.
