| Favorite books | My favorite book is the one that I've been writing and illustrating for the last eight years. It's called AFTER THE DEVASTATIONS, THE JOURNEY. I feel the characters have become as real to me as my own family. The plot is a cliff-hanging adventure story of four teenagers and their two elderly guides. After their country has been ruined by an enemy, the teens are taking a long journey to the border of their country in order to undo the results of the national devastations. This book was conceived in response to 9/11. It has a coming-of-age theme in regard to what the teens are learning, but it's also an allegory containing the truth about who Jesus is. Publication is expected in 2010. |
