IntroductionA native or Saratoga Springs, I attended SUNY New Paltz and graduated in 1995 with a BFA Photography/BS Art Education. After college I worked for a wedding photography studio in NYC named Sarah Merian's Photography. I did assisting, second shooting, retouching and studio managing. In 1998-2002 I commuted upstate to teach photography at the Center for Photography at Woodstock. There, I was the darkroom manager and resident teacher. After leaving CPW, I continued to be their Introduction to Photography teacher for the summer workshop program for 7 years while working a Mill Street Loft in Poughkeepsie as a Program Director/ Photography Teacher for after school programs. In 2004 had the great fortune to become the Museum Educator for the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz. At the same time I taught 9th grade art and K-2 art for New Paltz CSD. I have since received my MA in Studio Art from SUNY New Paltz. I have been continuously shooting weddings and engaging in free-lance teaching for Hudson Valley Pottery in Rhinebeck. I am currently teaching traditional darkroom and digital photography at New Paltz High School.
