Introduction	After having been a Librarian for over 25 years I have gone on to explore the more creative side of my nature. Whether it be Watercolour, Gold/Silversmithing, and now textile arts especially Shibori. I am fed by the need to create with my hands. This blog is a reflection of my progress, experiences, mistakes and triumphs. Currently I am working with pure silks and fine Merino wool fibres and dabbling in a little alchemy along the way.
Interests	Organic gardening, cooking, The arts in general, particularly Watercolour, and Japanese silk arts. Animals of all kinds, but my own dogs and cat, and the 'girls' - my 5 gorgeous Isa Browns. I am also addicted to fabrics - bit of a collector.
Favorite movies	Vertigo, Blow up, Blade Runner (DC), Soylent Green, Fargo, Miller's Crossing, Apocalypse now, and so many more ...
Favorite music	Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Brian Eno, June Christy, Helen Merrill, Jazz in general, PIL, The Stranglers, Melanie, Joni Mitchell, Jazz Fusion, ambient, Latin, African and the list goes on.
Favorite books	The Alexandria quartet, Middlesex, Eucalyptus, Who can choose really, but I do love David Copperfield, The Outsider, The Comfort of Figs, The Elegance of the hedgehog, The Reluctant fundamentalist, Stasiland and oh so many more.
