Introduction	I'm a PhD student and lecturer of English as a Second Language. The vocabulary discussion board concept was developed by Joanna Ghosh at the UPenn ELP for our high intermediate ESL core class. Students were required to post 2 and comment on 4 words each week, often from a book they were all reading. They are instructed to choose words they have heard but are not sure how to use. Students can then be quizzed on all the words each week. Articles on this tool are in preparation.
