| Introduction | After some experimentation, I have discovered I'm not a fantasy writer. My interests, strengths, and voice are more aligned with literary/upmarket fiction. I've also discovered that it's more difficult to dig deep into what makes a person laugh and cry, what darkness hides in her soul, and what her greatest aspirations are than it is to chop the nuts off a leprechaun and go on a fun adventure to solve the crime. However, for me, writing deeper is worth every word I struggle through and every tear I shed while writing. |
