| Introduction | I've read hundreds of these profile things, (which is really quite sad to begin with) and I'm still not really sure what to write in this section. I surmise that the "About Me" section should be a brief paragraph outlining the interesting highlights of my life and the various characteristics of my personality... Naturally, I guess I should write something that might possibly cause the reader (ie. you) to want to be my "friend." Or, I could be like some and insert a funny quote or some other trivial saying meant to cause others to stop and take note and ponder the deep meaning of life... Still others choose to just leave this section blank, which seems somewhat of an oddity, given the social nature of this site... Nevertheless, can life really be summed up in a short paragraph? If I could write two or three sentences about my life, could I really give someone an even remotely vague impression of myself as a person? On the other hand, who wants to sit and read page after page about someone else's so-called life? |
