| Introduction | Loretta and Darrell met in Chem 105 at BYU in 1973 and have been synthesizing since. The reaction resulted in six terrific children, and twelve (so far) grandchildren : Cliffton Darrell, Ella Rose, Violet Ann, Ivan William, Azure Stella Marie, Sophia Lily, Eliza Snow, Tessa Jewell, Ryan Michael, Ruby Jewel, Simon Eric, and Lucas Matthew are on the growing list of many expected side reactions. |

| Favorite Movies | Lord of the Rings, the books and movies, rate very highly; Patton, the war movie for people who hate war movies, is a personal favorite of Darrell's; Disney cartoons before 1959 and after 1995; ... will think more in future. |
| Favorite Music | Light classical, some New Age [David Lanz, David Arkinstone, most Manheim Steamroller, similar], Classic Rock/Pop [you know, our era when music was still good], and whatever our kids are practicing at the moment. |
| Favorite Books | Book of Mormon, easily, followed by other scriptures; Some fantasy, ie Lord of the Rings, Narnia, some others; Non-fiction [mainly Darrell]: Founding Brothers, A Briefer History of Time, Guns Germs and Steel, so far-everything I've read by David McCullough, April 1864. Recently enjoyed Shattered Sword, a [warning] somewhat scholarly presentation of the Battle of Midway from Japanese records. New find: for civil war buff, the 3 volume series "The Civil War" by Shelby Foote is long and very good. We also love listening to podcasts on a variety of subjects. |
