| Introduction | I am in my late 40s and I live in New England with my wonderful husband. We are parents of a grown child, who, despite being raised by a mom with mental illness, has become an incredible human being who makes the world a brighter place. I am a homemaker, a lifelong learner, and, I like to think of myself as an artist and a mental health advocate. My intention is to chronicle my life as a Christ follower who struggles with OCD, GAD, recurrent major depression, and CSP. One can still be a committed Christian while wrestling with severe anxiety. I believe this does not make me less of a God follower. It just makes me more aware of my desperate need for Him in my life. I have had the privilege of receiving 2 1/2 years of CBT/ERP. Pursuing CBT/ERP was one of the best decisions of my life. Though I continue to live with my anxiety disorders, they no longer dominate every moment of every day.
