| Introduction | Natives of Virginia, Rachel and Roy met and started dating in the 8th grade. Rachel went away to Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree, while Roy stayed home and commuted to college at Mary Washington College. Roy was accepted into Veterinary school at Virginia Tech in 1996. Rachel got her master's degree in Social Work at Radford University. Both Rachel & Roy graduated in 2000, and got married 2 weeks later. Roy decided to pursue an intership and residency to specialize in small animal surgery. Moving from North Carolina, Texas, to Illinois, we made many life-long friends along the way. On February 11, 2006, Ethan came along and changed our lives! There's nothing like a child to remind you of how difficult it is to be half a world away from family....In July of 2006, we moved back home! We have called Richmond home for 3 years now, and have made many new friends, and are enjoying being so close to all of our old friends, and our families. On May 11, 2009, Everett was born and has graced us with laughter and a new appreciation for the things that matter in life. |
