| Introduction | Throughout my life I have dabbled in and enjoyed all kinds of outdoor pursuits. Since moving to Lake Tahoe for college in 2005 these three activities have begun to define my life and passion for being outdoors. Try as I'd like, I can't seem to drop any one of these three for very long, though I am currently focusing more on mountain biking competitively. Dirt: Mountain biking is my true love, having captivated my interest for the longest time, and being so varied and exciting in all of its disciplines. Riding bikes has become my happiest happy place to be. Rock: Climbing didn't come along until later in high school, but solidified on my list of lifetime pursuits upon moving to Tahoe. It allows me to see so many neat places that I can't get to on a bike, and as a bonus is an excellent full body workout and great cross training for downhill. Snow: Skiing powder almost tops my list of best things in life, nearly surpassing mountain biking at times. It holds the freedom to paint lines wherever I choose on the mountain, soft landings, and the distinction of being unlike any other thing in the world. |
