| Introduction | In August, 2015, I started a new adventure in Atka, Alaska, one of the islands in the Aleutian archipelago. I taught the secondary students in a school with about 12 students. My adventure included learning to live in a remote area (go to the ends of the earth and turn left), learning to teach 4 or more subjects across 7 grades at the same time, and learning about the other inhabitants of the island. Now I've moved to a less remote area of Alaska, though still fairly isolated. I live on Prince of Wales Island, in the town of Craig. My adventures in Alaska continue! |
