| Introduction | Sure, I say I want to be a writer, but here I am staring at this introduction box wondering how exactly to convince you it's true.
I could lie and just assure you I am one (seriously, I am). I could steal a line from Mark Cohen: “Here on in I shoot without a script/see if anything comes of it/instead of my old sh*t”. Or, I could do exactly what I’m planning on doing. (This isn't a plan, are you crazy?) I throw and Void, you catch. You consume. You take my melting pot of shameless pop culture obsession: all of the anime and manga I’ve gone through since my three-year-old self discovered Doraemon; all of the Broadway and West End and Disney musicals I’ve committed to memory; all of the movies I can quote dialogue from –Star Wars, LOTR, Fast and the Furious, Marvel movies in general; and all of comics and graphic novels I’ve filled my bookshelves with. Take it all in the form of a singular teenager with ideas and a penchant for typing. That’s all I ask [of you] (my name IS Christine, after all). Will you listen? |
