| Introduction | I have always despised job interviews, especially the Q&A style ones. The ones where the interviewer probes, "Tell me about yourself.", "What are your hobbies?", "Describe yourself in one word." I am barely able to articulate a response never mind one that is intelligent, witty or intriguing. I know myself inside and out but somehow, when forced to express who I am, verbally, the words seem to escape me. I hope by creating this blog account and thoughtfully describing and expanding on my interests, likes and dislikes that I will develop an ease communicating about myself that will translate orally. So here goes... As moronic (pun-intended) as this may sound, the best word to describe me is oxymoronic. I am a thrifty spender, an introverted extrovert, an emotional intellectual, a liberal conservative, a spontaneous planner, an intelligent blonde (ha-ha!), a social loner, a realistic dreamer, a conformed deviant. I thrive on organized chaos. I am rationally insane and reasonably illogical. I have a mathematical mind but think philosophically. Well, if this doesn't help me the next time I am asked to describe myself in one word then nothing will! |
