| Introduction | A gender, development and communications specialist/technical writer with fifteen years of experience in Sub-Saharan Africa supporting gender equality, development, communications, sexuality, sexual health and reproductive health programmes. My independent consulting also covers editing and proofreading. I untangle technical research questions presenting solutions in audience-friendly, multi-format knowledge products that maximize brand investment and successfully produced situation analyses (including country analyses) that served as baseline for new development programmes and made recommendations that informed project directions. I have been involved in evaluations and developed various knowledge products including reports, case studies, surveys and online publications. I have been consultant to national, international, public, private and non-¬‐governmental organizations. I started my career as a journalist and was one time, Deputy Features/Women’s Editor of Uganda’s national daily – The New Vision during which I covered the 1995 UN World Conference on women in Beijing, China. A good team player, I hold two MA degrees – in Women and Development as well as Literature-in-English. |
