| Introduction | Writer, book nerd, and all-around geek, Mel lives at the Smyrna Library circulation desk and occasionally visits her husband and cat at home in the evenings. She's sold short fiction to Aoife's Kiss magazine and her novel, Voice of the Bard, finaled in Dorchester Publishing's American Title IV contest. |
| Interests | Reading, writing, (but not 'rithmatic), making beaded jewelry, media of all kinds, retro and current video gaming, and spoiling my nephews as much as possible. |
| Favorite movies | A sampling of my faves include Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Shaun of the Dead, and anything mocked by the robots on Mystery Science Theater 3000. |
| Favorite music | I've been in a southern rock mood lately. Cowboy Junkies, Tom Petty, Kimmie Rhodes. I have also recently discovered the bands Marjorie Fair and Magic Numbers. |
| Favorite books | Oh, God. Please don't make me choose! As a general rule, I read genre fiction, although mainstream literature, non-fiction on any subject, backs of cereal boxes, random magazines, and when desperate, wrinkled receipts in the bottom of my purse will do. |
Describe the sound of a moist waffle falling onto a hot griddle.
Ploink?
